Brazil: steel industry workforce 2015-2020

The steel industry in Brazil employed an estimated 79,510 people in 2020, slightly down from some 80,570 a year earlier. Nevertheless, this represented a decrease of over 5.6 percent in comparison to 2015, when the industry's workforce stood above 84,200 people. In 2020, the production of finished and semi-finished steel products in Brazil added up to nearly 32 million metric tons.
