This record will soon be published.Sayre Sankano and Musa Molloh The relationship between Musa Molloh and Sayre Sankano was very amicable. Sayre Sankano was not only a friend but was Musa’s marabout and advisor. Sayre Sankano studied the Koran at Fouta under Foday Hayib Mamadu Konteh, the father of Foday Musa Konteh. Musa Molloh completely depended on him. In fact, Musa Molloh presented him with three of his sons and also two wives. Before Musa Molloh fought with his brother Dikori Kumba at Patta, he sent for Sayre to support him. He was provided with spiritual water in order to charm and beguile Dikori and his men. Dikori was later ambushed and killed by Musa Molloh’s men. References to entities made in the recording Culture: Mandinka Language: Mandinka and translated into Wollof Persons: Musa Molloh, Sayre Sankano, Foday Hayib Mamadu Konteh, Foday Musa Konteh and Dikori Kumba Relationships: Sayre Sankano was Musa Molloh’s marabout Dikori Kumba was Musa Molloh’s elder brother Places: Patta and Fouta Movements: None Actions: Musa Molloh killed his brother Dikori kumba at Patta Time references: None Additional information: Marabouts are spiritual leaders who possessed the ability to cast a spell on others
