Prevalence of Urolithiasis in Children from the EMRO Region: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Urolithiasis in children is associated with high recurrence rates and complications, and its prevalence has been rising in recent decades due to metabolic and non-metabolic risk factors. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of pediatric urolithiasis in the EMRO region. This systematic review was conducted using international databases, including Scopus, PubMed/MEDLINE, Web of Science, Embase, and ProQuest, covering available data up to the end of August 2024. The Cochran test and I² statistics were applied to assess study heterogeneity. Additional analyses were performed using STATA software version 14.儿童尿路结石病（Urolithiasis）具有较高的复发率与并发症发生率，近数十年来受代谢与非代谢类危险因素影响，其患病率呈上升趋势。本研究旨在评估东地中海区域（EMRO）内儿童尿路结石病的患病率。本研究采用Scopus、PubMed/MEDLINE、Web of Science、Embase及ProQuest等国际数据库开展系统综述，检索覆盖截至2024年8月底的所有可用数据。研究采用Cochran检验与I²统计量评估各纳入研究间的异质性，并使用STATA 14软件完成补充分析。
