Immunomodulatory evaluation of isolates from sungkai leaf (Peronema canescens Jack) ethanol fraction

Three compounds were isolated from sungkai leaf ethanol fraction coded I1, I2, and I3. The isolates were evaluated for their immunomodulatory activity. We found that I2 and I3 acted as immunostimulants meanwhile I1 acted as immunosuppressant. We provide data of their effects on mice total leukocyte count, phagocytosis activity, lymphoid organ index, and carbon clearance rate.
