资源简介:
This dataset contains raw and processed data generated from a controlled laboratory study evaluating the effects of ascorbic acid (AsA) seed priming on germination performance and early seedling development of seven broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica) cultivars (Belstar, Covina, Green Magic, Gypsy, Imperial, Luna, and Patron). Seeds were subjected to seven priming treatments: unprimed control, distilled water (0 mg L⁻¹), and AsA concentrations of 1, 5, 10, 20, and 40 mg L⁻¹. The dataset includes daily germination counts, calculated germination parameters (germination vigour, final germination rate, mean germination time, germination index, vitality index), seedling morphological measurements (fresh weight, dry weight, seedling length), and derived seed vigour indices (SVI I and SVI II). Data were collected over a 7-day incubation period under controlled environmental conditions using a completely randomized design with five replications per cultivar × treatment combination. These data support the findings reported in the associated manuscript and enable reproducibility, secondary analysis, and comparative studies on seed priming and early seedling performance in broccoli and other horticultural crops.
