In this follow-up experiment of MA-5094, we aim to investigate how varying the concentration of PSS influences the precipitation kinetics, the morphology of the vaterite particles, and the aggregation process of nanograins into larger particles of CaCO3 over time. To improve upon our previous setup, we will introduce an automated system for the injection of the two precursor solutions (Na2CO3 and CaCl2 in presence of PSS) , eliminating delays in the initiation of measurements and ensuring more precise control over the experimental conditions. By reducing the PSS concentration to less than 7mM at a precursor concentration of 9mM we expect to speed up the kinetics and vice versa. This will also impact the size of the precipitated particles.
