Leading social media usage reasons in Colombia 2023

A survey conducted in the third quarter of 2023 found that around 56 percent of internet users in Colombia used social media to stay in touch with friends and family. Reading news stories was the second main reason for using social media for about 49.1 percent of the respondents. Finding content and filling spare time were important reasons for around 40.8 percent and 39.9 percent of social media users, respectively.
