The data set comprises of the results of different biochemical parameters of rat erythrocytes fed with linoleic acid. The results indicate a decline in the levels of inflammatory cytokines, protein and lipid peroxidation products along with restoration of antioxidant enzyme system was observed after the scheduled treatment. The study shows positive outcomes of treatment of linoleic acid during aging by maintaining redox homeostasis and normal inflammatory reactions.
