Marsh predation experiments across Louisiana and North Carolina, 2015-05-12 to 2019-07-12

Predation tethering experiments using Gulf killifish (Fundulus grandis), marsh periwinkles (Littoraria irrorata) and standardized dried squid (“squidpops”) were conducted in marshes across Louisiana and North Carolina between 2015 and 2019. Data includes habitat characteristics of the marshes, predation rates on various prey types at different distances into the marsh, manipulative experiments on marsh vegetation structure and the influence on predation rates. Data were collected in person by various checks on the prey items through time.
