Excised biocrust was watered to field capacity and carbon flux in the light and dark was measured with a Licor 6400 on each sample under varying temperatures in a growth chamber.<br><br>NPP, GPP, RE were collected with eddyflux towers, and soil respiration was collected at some sites as well.<br>
