Striga hermonthica kibos ecotype microRNA annotations

The purpose of this study was to annotate microRNAs in the parasitic plant Striga hermonthica and investigate any haustorial specific expression of novel microRNAs. Haustorial and leaf tissue were collected from Striga hermonthica kibos ecotype grown on roots of Oryza sativa japonica cultivar KitaakeX. Small RNA libraries were prepared from total RNA and sequenced using Illumina HiSeq 2000.
