Oryza glaberrima Transcriptome or Gene expression

Total RNA was isolated from the leaves of Oryza glaberrima both the salinity treated and control saplings using Trizol Reagent (Invitrogen, USA) according to the manufacturer's instructions. The quantity and quality of total RNA were analyzed using Agilent 2100. Two small RNA libraries were made, one from control and another from salt treated tissue. Small RNA library was prepared as described by Hafner et al., (2008). Briefly, approximately ~200ng of RNA sample enriched for small RNA was used as the starting material.
