Soil organic carbon stock (tonnes/ha, 0-100 cm depth) within the boreal caribou distribution, as prepared from the SoilGrids250m dataset. The data were projected, spatially aggregated, and aligned to a standard analysis grid. Raster values ≥ 608 (t/ha) were considered to be a hotspot.
