资源简介:
The data collected in the western South China Sea from August 10th to 25th, 2021, consists of measurements obtained using CTD (Conductivity-Temperature-Depth) and ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) instruments. The data is saved in mat format. The CTD instrument used was the SBE 911plus, a direct-reading CTD profiler manufactured by Seabird Company. The ADCP instrument operated at a frequency of 38kHz and was used for ship-mounted current observations, with a measurement depth of up to 800 meters.
The CTD.mat file contains temperature (tem), salinity (sal), density (in_site_density), depth (dep), and latitude-longitude (lon, lat) data recorded during the field observations. A total of 30 stations are included in this dataset, with station numbers indicated at the end of the variable names. The data resolution is 5 meters.
The ADCP.mat file contains eastward velocity (SerEmmpersec), northward velocity (SerNmmpersec), total velocity (SerMagmmpersec), and velocity direction (SerDir10thDeg) recorded by the 38kHz ADCP. It also includes longitude (AnFLonDeg for starting longitude, AnLLonDeg for ending longitude) and latitude (AnFLatDeg for starting latitude, AnLLatDeg for ending latitude) information during data acquisition. The data in the ADCP.mat file represents long-term averages within a 5-minute period, with SerYear, SerMon, SerDay, SerHour, SerMin, and SerSec denoting the year, month, day, hour, minute, and second of the ADCP record (UTM+0), respectively. The vertical data layers are spaced at intervals of 80 meters, and SerDepth records the depth of each layer.
