VPRS 6166 Index to Application and File Management Cards, Ballarat and Ararat

This series provides an index to applications and file management cards some of which are held in VPRS 6169 Applications and File Management Cards, Ballarat and Ararat. Details given are the name of the landholder, the number of the Section of the Act under which the land was held and the serial or sequential file number relating to that landholding. Some examples have these details written as a fraction with the category as the denominator and the serial as the numerator. Sections of Acts referred to include those from the Land Act, the Closer Settlement Act and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act.
