Sundarban cultivated rice rhizosphere microbiome Metagenome

This study was initiated to find out the absolute abundance of different bacterial communities present in cultivated rice rhizosphere habitat soil at Indian Sundarbans. It was done through isolation of soil DNA from the respective site and amplicon database generation through 16S rRNA Sequencing using Illumina MiSeq platform of next generation sequencing. Comparison of this rhizosphere microbiome information with that of other native halophytic grasses rhizospheres of Indian Sundarbans might result into identification of some particular bacterial community abundances as metrics which could indicate the importance of the halophytic grass rhizosphere microbiome in future studies.
