Electoral districts of the department of Hérault

INSEE definition: "Legislative constituencies are the territorial framework for the election of each member of the National Assembly, elected by direct universal suffrage for a renewable term of 5 years (unless the legislature is interrupted by dissolution, Article 24 of the Constitution). The legislative district is designated by a serial number within each department. The establishment of the electoral districts of the deputies, the method of election of the latter and the first division into legislative districts date from the advent of the Fifth Republic in 1958. According to Article 2 of Law No 86-825 of 11 July 1986: "The boundaries of the districts shall be revised in the light of demographic change after the second general population census following the last delimitation." This one took place in February 2010. This data was created by the GIS using the following sources: ROUTE_500® from IGN, the data available on Data.gouv.fr, and on data.opendatasoft.com. In the fields, we find the number of the department, the number of the constituency, its area and its total number of inhabitants.
