IOOS Glider - ASPIRE - ru06-20110101T2108-delayed

Slocum glider ru06 was deployed twice during the Austral summer 2010-2011 to broaden the capabilities of the US Antarctic Program and the RVIB Nathaniel B Palmer in its exploration of the link between the fast melting glaciers, declining sea ice, and high productivity of the Amundsen Sea Polynya. The glider carried a CTD and Ecopucks to measure temperature, salinity, and chlorophyll, expanding the coverage provided by shipboard sampling and moorings.
