Application of Directional Eddy Current Probe for Automated, High-Speed Inline Inspection of CFRP Components

This dataset supports a study that integrates a previously developed directional eddy current probe with a robotic manipulator for automated inspection of composite materials. The system\u2019s sensitivity was evaluated by detecting varying out-of-plane wrinkle heights, including high-speed scans conducted between 0.1 and 1.0 m\/s on samples with severe surface defects. Performance was assessed based on signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), demonstrating values exceeding 14 under static conditions and maintaining an SNR above 3 for wrinkle heights of 1.3 mm at maximum inspection speed. These results highlight the probe\u2019s effectiveness for high-speed, inline quality control in composite manufacturing.
