This layer group describes multibeam echosounder data collected on RV Investigator voyage IN2024_V02 titled "SOTS: Southern Ocean Time Series automated moorings for climate and carbon cycle studies southwest of Tasmania". The voyage took place between March 31 and April 19, 2024, departing from Hobart (TAS) and arriving in Hobart (TAS).
The purpose of this voyage was to maintain the Southern Ocean Time Series (SOTS) automated moorings, a sub-facility of the Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS). IMOS is a global monitoring program to collect long time-series ocean data to better understand ocean and climate change and variability. IMOS, like the MNF, is supported by funding via the NCRIS program.
This dataset is published with the permission of CSIRO. Not to be used for navigational purposes.
The dataset contains bathymetry grids of 10m to 210m resolution of the Southern Ocean Time Series produced from the processed EM122 and EM710 bathymetry data.
