Transcriptome analysis of genes expressed in the Ophiothrix exigua in response to Manganese exposure

During the process of seabed mining, metallic substances may enter the seawater in different forms, some of which are toxic to benthic organisms and must be evaluated for their environmental impact before seabed mineral mining. However, the molecular mechanism of the reaction of marine megabenthos to metals is still unclear. A transcriptomic study of response to Manganese exposure is carried out for the widely distributed marine brittle star Ophiothrix exigua.
