资源简介:
The registers show number, dates of receipt and communication, from and to whom, references to previous official numbers and dates, contents of minutes received. The 1879-80 volume, 4/7057, relates to communications received and sent by the Superintendent of the South Western District, who headed the Police District's operations from Deniliquin. Many of the descriptions provided of the communications are quite detailed, and some of them refer to bushrangers, including the Kelly gang. In contrast, the later volume, at 2/8333, comprises communications received and sent by the Sub-Inspector, later Inspector, of the Gundagai Sub-District in the Murray District. The descriptions of the communications become much less detailed after 1914 when the then Inspector left Gundagai. 20 Mar 1879-9 Feb 1880 (4/7057), 4 Mar 1908-10 Mar 1920 (2/8333). 2 vols. Note: This description, as amended, is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
