The aim of the project was to understand the viruses that cause Maize lethal necrosis disease in Kenya. Samples from leaves of Maize, Sorghum (cultivated and wild) and Nappier grass with (Symptomatic) and without symptoms (Asymptomatic) were collected from 16 counties in Kenya.Total RNA from 68 samples was analyzed using next-generation sequencing (Illumina Miseq) platform at BeCA-Hub. Paired-end reads were generated.
