VIEWS OF USMON KHOJA POLATKHODJAEV ON TROTSKYISM AND THE CRISIS OF THE SOVIET SYSTEM.

This thesis examines Usmon Khoja Polatkhodjaev’s publication “Trotsky, Trotskyism and Our Point of View,” published in the April 1929 issue of the journal New Turkestan. The study aims to identify the political and ideological views of the Turkestan emigre community regarding Soviet power, Trotskyism, and the national liberation movement of the peoples of Turkestan. The analysis demonstrates that the author interpreted internal contradictions within the Soviet leadership as evidence of an inevitable crisis of the communist system. Usmon Khoja Polatkhodjaev critically assessed both Stalinism and Trotskyism, viewing them as different forms of the same Bolshevik policy. Special attention is given to the interpretation of the national question and the role of the Turkestan emigre community in anti-Soviet struggle abroad. The research is based on content analysis of New Turkestan and a historical-comparative approach.
