VPRS 2302 Computer Data Cards

This series consists of computer cards which contain data from various surveys and investigations carried out by the State Rivers and Water Supply Commission (and predecessor agencies). This series was created by the Computing Services Branch of the agency.The cards contain raw data such as rainfall and river flows, as well as interpretations and analyses of the data. The contents of this series date back to 1890 (for instance, the data on residual flows Oven River and 15 M Creek in this series covers the period 1891/2 to 1969/70).VPRS 2302 was appraised as part of the ARAD project in 1999. It was decided to change its consignment code from U to R, and that the records would be retained by PROV pending the conversion of the data on the cards to an accessible, long-term format.
