A dataset of litter recovery amount and standing crop dynamics in middle subtropical Chinese fir forest (2005-2015)

Chinese fir plantation is one of the most typical community types in mid-subtropical zone. According to the unified specification of Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN). Based on a long-time litter observation in field sampling plots, the dataset integrated monthly litter recovery amount and annual litter standing crop of Chinese fir plantation of central production region in Huitong County, Hunan Province in the period of 2005-2015, which both comprised branch, leaf, flower and fruit, bark, moss and lichen and other things specifically. The setup and data sharing of the database would offer data supports for litter dynamic study of this forest type as well as for litter comparative study among various forest types in the background of global climate change. It can provide data support for us to understand the structure, function and ecological process of Chinese fir plantation ecosystem, reasonably arrange the management strategy of Chinese fir plantation, and promote the development of litter and Chinese fir plantation research.
