High-resolution (10 m) spatial distribution and structural classification of Deciduous Dipterocarp Forests (DDFs) in the Indo-Burma Region

This dataset provides a comprehensive regional assessment of Deciduous Dipterocarp Forests (DDFs) across the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot. The data includes: Current DDF Distribution Map (2024): A high-resolution 10 m binary map derived from Sentinel-2 time-series imagery. This layer utilizes multi-temporal vegetation indices to isolate DDF phenological cycles with an overall accuracy of 87%. DDF Structural Group Map: A 30 m resolution categorical map delineating four distinct structural groups within the DDF ecosystem. These groups were derived via unsupervised clustering of forest structure and phenology layers, representing a gradient of environmental drivers including fire frequency, soil depth, and topography.
