Olive mill wastewater sludge (OMWS) is the main by-product of the olive industry resulting from transformation of olive millwastewater (OMWW) into a sludge recovred from evaporation pounds, which is more hazardous than OMWW due to completlydifferent caracterisation and a higher load of pollutants. the high toxicity mainly attributed to polyphenols and lipids compoundsmake difficulte to remove all existant poluttant even with composting the most efficient methodology. in order to identify themain species involved in the degradation of these compounds, our study, addressed the relationship between microbial community,physicochemical variations and pollutants degradation during the co-composting of OMWS and green wastes using metagenomicand culture-dependent approaches
