Replication Data for: Transboundary Air Pollution and Hazy Accountability: Evidence from South Korea

Replication files Lee, Haillie, and Erik Voeten. "Transboundary Air Pollution and Hazy Accountability: Evidence from South Korea and China." The user should replace the global for the main working directory. The code assumes that the main directory is called "C:\Users\owner\Dropbox\Korea\Replication" The user should replace this with the path to the main directory in which the replication folder is installed. Please put the .do and the .R files in the main directory. The code assumes that the Data subfolder contains all the datasets and that there is an Output folder for all the tables and graphs. STATA files DataPrepIO.do reconstructs the data from the regressions from the raw data ReplicationIO_Final.do : reproduces all the regression tables from the paper, including in the appendices R file IO_Figures.R reproduces the remainder of the figures WARNING: the Gallup World Poll public opinion microdata cannot be shared. Therefore, the file "Gallup_WP.dta" is missing from the published replication archive. We gave that file to IO for internal replication. For those who wish to replicate the analysis, please request access to the microdata for the polls from June 2013, October 2014, September 2015, May 2016, March 2017, July 2018, August 2019, August 2020, June 2021, August 2022.
