资源简介:
Chaco-McElmo Black-on-white, bowl (fragmentary), Accession AZRU-00008, Catalog #4986, Morris FS 4283. Analyzed by Lori Reed 2006. Sand/shale temper and low fired silty paste suggest the bowl was manufactured at Aztec. Bowl fragments represent only about 60% of vessel. Measurements: 22 cm orifice diameter (estimate); height unknown. Image AZRU8-4986 A: bowl fragments showing painted design below rim (upper left), exterior slip-slop over rim edge (upper right), painted design on upper body sherd (lower right), and a interior surface of a base fragment (lower left). Recovered from Earl Morris excavation of Kiva Q, Aztec West Ruin. Morris (1924:257) mentions Kiva Q as a comparison to kivas in the West Ruin Annex: "Kiva A.2 is of a different type, but from its similarity to Kiva Q in the main ruin, which is of known Chaco age, it must be considered contemporaneous with Kiva A.1." No other published description of Kiva Q is available.
