THE DISTINCTIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF ENGLISH VOWEL PHONEMES

This article examines the distinctive characteristics of English vowel phonemes from the perspective of articulatory phonetics. The study focuses on the theoretical foundations of phonetics and phonology, emphasizing the relationship between speech sounds, phonemes, and meaning in spoken English.
