Plan-level subscription prices and AI feature access in email productivity software, dataset v1.0

This dataset records, for a hand-picked set of email productivity products, the list prices, billing terms, seat rules and AI feature statements printed on each vendor's own pricing page, with a verification status for every plan (30 plans from 12 vendors, re-checked on 31 October 2026). It accompanies the working paper "The Price of AI Functionality in Email Productivity Software: A Descriptive Analysis of Subscription Tiers and Feature Bundling" (Shrestha, 2026, doi:10.5281/zenodo.23841609). It includes the plan-level data, a data dictionary, provenance for every plan, the analysis scripts (run_all.sh rebuilds every table and figure without network access) and the outputs. Competing interest: the author's company, Donezo Inbox, sells one of the products in this category and publishes a commercial price index from whose records the sample was drawn. As a conflict-of-interest safeguard, its own product was excluded from the sample. The vendors were not consulted. The sample is not representative of any market. The saved vendor pages are withheld pending a check of each vendor's terms of use; source URLs, capture dates, checksums and short quotes are included.
