Excavations at Site LA 89966 near Cedar Hill, New Mexico, yielded three
subsurface features, two surface artifacts, and an organic-appearing lens. The
site appears to be an Anasazi Pueblo I habitation. Two of the features and the
organic lens were sampled for pollen and macrofloral remains in order to provide
possible subsistence information. In addition, a modern soil sample was
collected near each feature sampled in order to provide a control for
interpreting the archaeological pollen samples from the features.
