资源简介:
This project aims to elucidate the molecular and physiological basis of the morphological abnormalities observed during mussel larval development in low pH seawater, as described in Kaspenberg et al. 2018 (doi: 10.1098/rspb.2018.2381). The sequencing data deposited here are derived from samples collected during the Kapsenberg et al. experiment, wherein embryos from nine unique parental pairs were pooled and distributed across three replicate cultures (N = 3), over four treatments at 14.3 degrees C: (i) stable pH 8.1, (ii) variable pH 7.4, wherein embryos started development at pH 7.4 but pH was increased to pHT 8.1 during the trochophore stage and reduced back to pH 7.4 during the early D-veliger stage, (iii) stable pH 7.4, and (iv) variable pH = 8.1, wherein embryos started development at pH 8.1 but pH was decreased to pHT 7.4 during the trochophore stage and increased back to pHT 8.1 during the early D-veliger stage. Larvae within each treatment were collected and preserved for total RNA extraction and sequencing at the mid-trochophore stage.
