全球二十四节气物候MODIS归一化植被指数数据集(2001-2022)

物候反映了植被的生命周期,对监测全球植被多样性、生态系统稳定性及农业安全至关重要。然而,目前尚缺乏与物候相关的专题数据集。二十四节气基于太阳周年运动,反映了季节更替、温度变化和物候现象,是表征植被物候的重要方式。本研究基于谷歌地球引擎(GEE)平台,利用中分辨率成像光谱仪(MODIS)数据,生成了全球范围的二十四节气归一化植被指数(NDVI)产品。该数据集采用最大值合成法(MVC)处理相邻两个节气间的NDVI值,最终产品时间分辨率为16天,空间分辨率为250米。与MOD13Q1产品对比显示,两组数据集具有良好的时空一致性,证实了本产品的可靠性。更重要的是,二十四节气产品具有独特的物候学意义。该产品首次引入了基于二十四节气的植被指数数据集,丰富了现有植被指数数据体系,并为物候学的深入研究提供了有力支持。
Phenology, which reflects the life cycle of vegetation, is critical for monitoring global vegetation diversity, ecosystem stability and agricultural security. However, no thematic datasets related to phenology are currently available. The Twenty-Four Solar Terms, derived from the annual apparent motion of the Sun and reflecting seasonal shifts, temperature fluctuations and phenological phenomena, represent an important framework for characterizing vegetation phenology. In this study, based on the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform and using Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) data, we generated a global Twenty-Four Solar Terms-based Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) product. This dataset adopts the Maximum Value Composite (MVC) method to process NDVI values between two adjacent solar terms. The final product has a temporal resolution of 16 days and a spatial resolution of 250 meters. Comparison with the MOD13Q1 product demonstrates that the two datasets exhibit excellent spatiotemporal consistency, validating the reliability of the proposed product. Notably, the Twenty-Four Solar Terms-based product carries unique phenological significance. This work introduces the first vegetation index dataset grounded in the Twenty-Four Solar Terms, enriching the existing vegetation index data ecosystem and providing robust support for in-depth phenological research.
