雪坑是深入认识南极浅层冰盖物质迁移转化物理化学过程,评估冰盖表面物质平衡,冰盖浅层温度变化,及冰盖年平均温度特征的重要手段。本数据为中国第38次南极科学考察(2021年-2022年)期间进行的雪坑温度观测工作。

2.观测方法和所获观测资料
在进行雪坑采样的同时,每隔5cm进行雪坑温度梯度测定。使用适用于液体,半固态介质以及空气中温度测量且快速响应的testo 905-T1刺入式温度计插入雪坑对应层位20cm深,测得的雪坑温度梯度数据。

Snow pits are an important means to gain in-depth insights into the physico-chemical processes of material migration and transformation in the Antarctic shallow ice sheet, and to assess the surface mass balance of the ice sheet, shallow temperature variations of the ice sheet, as well as the characteristics of the annual average temperature of the ice sheet. This dataset was collected during the 38th Chinese Antarctic Scientific Expedition (2021-2022) through snow pit temperature observation work.

2. Observation Methods and Obtained Observation Data
During snow pit sampling, snow pit temperature gradient measurements were conducted at every 5 cm interval. The testo 905-T1 penetration thermometer, which has fast response and is suitable for temperature measurement in liquids, semi-solid media and air, was inserted to a depth of 20 cm at the corresponding layers of the snow pit to obtain the snow pit temperature gradient data.
