The table lists the samples that passed the quality filtering and that were used for association analyses. Age at blood collection, gender, percentage of mtDNA covered by at least one read and number of nucleotides with read depth = 0, mean sequencing read depth, haplogroup and macro-haplogroup prediction, mitochondrial ancestry are reported. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure and smoking status are available only for hypertensive individuals. (XLSX)
