Dataset and corresponding metadata on contents of fatty acids in sheep milk and cheese samples from intensive and extensive commercial farms. Dataset contains the results of the analysis of fatty acids in milk and cheese by gas chromatography coupled to flame ionization detection. Total number of samples is 183. Dataset includes as categorical variables farm type, farm, dairy food type, and sample. As analytical variables, dataset includes contents of individual saturated, branched-chain, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Metadata includes the title, authors, affiliations, contact, keywords, description of analytical methology, identification of categorical variable codes, identification of analytical variable names and measurement units, abbreviations, dataset format type and language.
