Characterization of the physiology of the autonomic nervous system response of children with autism and awareness of the presence of stress is essential to prevent negative responses toward therapies. This study explores the use of a biofeedback system using a physiological sensor and a social robot to support therapies for children with ASD. Six participants took part in a biofeedback session supported by either a teacher or a social robot. A qualitative case-by-case analysis further highlighted the importance of personalization, linking sensor responses with observed behaviors and sensory profiles.
