Expression data from skin biopsies of Hidradenitis suppurativa patients

To increase disease understanding and investigate cell types and pathways active in Hidradenitis suppurativa, skin was collected from patients who had surgical removal of affected skin regions. Blocks of tissue were taken from regions defined as lesional and non-lesional. For comparison blocks of skin were also collected from healty people undergoing plastic surgery RNA was ectracted from several consecutive sections of OCT embedded blocks of skin. Skin was collected from surgical discard of healthy people and Hidradenitis suppurativa patients. From the patient samples lesional, per-lesional and non-lesional samples were collected and cellular infiltration controlled by histology.
