APPROACHES AND TYPES OF HOUSING PRODUCTION AND LOCAL PRODUCTION AS COMMODITIES

RESUMO We propose a discussion of some approaches and concepts pertaining to the real estate market, real estate and, in more depth, "real estate production" and the idea of "places as commodities". These last two notions, supported a selected bibliography and a theoretical perspective, bring a broad concept that goes beyond the idea of the real estate market. We understand that the discussion and the elucidation of these notions and / or terms contribute to an understanding of one side of the large-scale production of urban space, as well as shedding light on recent processes relevant to the construction of the city. We demonstrate that perspective from the evolution of the number of establishments of Real Estate Activities, Construction of Buildings and Civil Engineering Works in the cities of Londrina/PR and Maringa/PR, using them as empirical examples and based on the data available from the Annual Relation of Social Information (RAIS), as well as from the evolution of the real estate activity and construction companies.
