Inheritance and penetrance of large eye phenotype.

aIncross: Each parent was homozygous for the lrp2 mutation and showed the large eye phenotype. bOutcross: One parent was homozygous for the lrp2 mutation and showed the eye phenotype. The other parent was wild-type. Five wild-type strains were used for the lrp2C23X test crosses, while three wild-type strains were used for the lrp2Q413X test crosses. cBackcross: One parent was homozygous for the lrp2 mutation and showed the large eye phenotype. The other parent was an adult progeny from an Outcross and therefore heterozygous for the lrp2 mutation. dSome families after repeated incrossing showed 100% penetrance of the large eye phenotype.
