We propose a 80 ks XMM-Newton monitoring campaign to cover 5 nights of VLTI-Gravity guaranteed time observations of Sgr A* comma during the spring of 2021. At that time comma Sgr A* will be visible from Paranal for virgul3.5-4 hr each night. Simultaneous X-ray and NIR observations will allow us to extract the best science from both European projects. This deep XMM-Newton exposure will also allow us to monitor the evolution of the reflection component off the clouds of the Sgr A molecular complex comma therefore to further constrain Sgr A*.s past activity and the cloud 3-dimensional distribution.
