RNA-based gene fusion analysis in Hyperthyroidism

Thyroid disease is the most common endocrine disorder worldwide. Hyperthyroidism is characterized by excessive thyroid hormone synthesis in the thyroid gland and release into the blood circulation. However, its etiology remains elusive and genomic sequencing is lacking. Hence, RNA based gene rearrangement analysis in patients with hyperthyroidism can lead to a better understanding of the disease at the molecular level.
