The Kabo area is used for experiments in forestry, testing the Celos Management System. After the initial set up, surveys on biodiversity were carried out during several years. Data on amphibians in the data set were collected by Rawien Jairam and Gwendolyn Landburg. A few others collected Diptera and Lepidoptera.
