Containing 6 channels of VR gesture EMG data, a total of 33 healthy subjects (age: 27.5 ± 5.5 years) with no history of neurological or muscular disease were recruited, including 21 males and 12 females. The subjects included 31 right-handed and 2 left-handed individuals (one male and one female). During the experiment, six sEMG modules were placed in the posterior position of the small arm on the side of the subject's dominant hand, covering the brachialis, flexor, and extensor muscles, in order to capture EMG signals. The position of the modules in relation to the muscles was relatively fixed, but could be fine-tuned for comfort (offset distance ±3 cm, offset angle ±10°). Subjects were required to perform 16 gestures in a seated position. Each maneuver was repeated 8 times, including a 2-second task state and a 2-second rest state. There was a 5-minute rest period between each set of movements.
