Dataset and Code for: Impact of Satellite-Based Ice Surface Temperature Initialization on Arctic Winter Forecasts Using the Korean Integrated Model
收藏资源简介:
DescriptionThis repository provides the datasets and code supporting the study entitled "Impact of Satellite-Based Ice Surface Temperature Initialization on Arctic Winter Forecasts Using the Korean Integrated Model." Original OSTIA Dataset: This dataset contains the operational OSTIA (Operational Sea Surface Temperature and Sea Ice Analysis) fields used for surface boundary condition initialization in the Korean Integrated Model (KIM). The dataset, provided in NetCDF format (e.g., KIM_ostia_nc), has been spatially collocated to the KIM grid and includes both deterministic (ne180np3) and ensemble (ne090np3) versions. Modified OSTIA Dataset: This satellite-constrained version of the OSTIA dataset was generated by replacing the original ice surface temperature (IST) fields with physically realistic values derived from a standalone sea ice model. The dataset, provided in NetCDF format (e.g., SUN_ostia_nc), has been collocated to the KIM grid and includes both deterministic (ne180np3) and ensemble (ne090np3) versions. Code for the Conceptual Two-Layer Energy Budget Model: IDL code implementing the simplified energy budget analysis described in Appendix A of the manuscript. The model quantifies lower-tropospheric temperature responses to IST perturbations.
