Accessibility & Disability Inclusion Statement (Universal Design for Learning – UDL Aligned) Purpose and Scope This project is intentionally designed as an accessible-by-construction educational artifact, aligned with the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Its goal is to support learners with disabilities and diverse learning profiles through deterministic structure, multi-representation, and non-exclusive modes of engagement. The work is suitable for self-paced, assisted, and adaptive learning environments, including higher-education, bridge programs, cybersecurity education, and independent study. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Alignment This artifact supports the three core UDL principles: 1. Multiple Means of Representation Concepts are presented through: symbolic mappings (lattice steps, indices) geometric visualization (phase circles, discrete steps) structured data exports (JSON, CSV) plain-language explanations (8th-grade level summaries) No concept is conveyed through color alone. Mathematical relationships are expressed both numerically and spatially. This supports learners with: low vision dyslexia dyscalculia auditory processing differences second-language learners 2. Multiple Means of Engagement The system is deterministic and offline, avoiding time pressure or sensory overload. Learners may explore: static artifacts reproducible simulations worst-case symbol analysis There is no requirement for real-time interaction, live hardware, or continuous attention. This supports learners with: ADHD autism spectrum conditions fatigue or chronic illness anxiety related to timed or stochastic systems 3. Multiple Means of Action and Expression Outputs are provided in multiple formats: Python (executable logic) JSON / CSV (machine-readable, screen-reader friendly) PNG (visual reference) Learners can: inspect modify reproduce annotate results without specialized tools This supports learners with: motor impairments assistive input devices alternative navigation methods screen readers and accessibility software Disability Inclusion Statement This work is designed to be inclusive of learners with disabilities, including but not limited to: cognitive disabilities neurodivergent learning profiles visual impairments motor or physical disabilities temporary or situational disabilities Accessibility considerations were integrated from the outset, rather than added retroactively. The project does not rely on: real-time sensory cues auditory-only instruction color-dependent meaning opaque or non-explainable algorithms Compliance and Intent This artifact is not certified under a specific accessibility standard; however, it is aligned in intent and practice with: Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework ADA educational access principles Section 508 design goals (non-exclusive modality, predictable operation) The intent is educational inclusion, not medical or assistive device substitution. Educational Use Statement This project may be used as: an accessible teaching aid a disability-supportive curriculum supplement a bridge or remediation tool an independent learning artifact It is suitable for higher education, cybersecurity programs, and STEM accessibility initiatives. Licensing and Access The project is released under the MIT License, permitting free use, modification, and redistribution, including for accessibility adaptation, educational accommodation, and assistive technology integration.
