Einstein-Æther-Cuscuton EFT: Global Foliation Stability, Hamiltonian Analysis, and the Physical Nature of Time Dilation.

We present a robust Effective Field Theory (EFT) that integrates Einstein-æther gravity with a non-propagating Cuscuton scalar field to establish a stable, absolute temporal foliation. Using the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) as a physi- cal baseline for a preferred reference frame, we demonstrate that the model is free of kinetic instabilities (ghosts) through a detailed Dirac Hamiltonian analysis. We show that the system maintains two tensor degrees of freedom, consistent with Gen- eral Relativity, while providing a mechanism for superluminal information transfer without causal paradoxes. Relativistic time dilation is reinterpreted as a local mod- ulation of event-frequency (event-rate) within a strictly irreversible ”Ontology of Succession.”
