Lantana camara Genome sequencing

Lantana camara L. is a major invasive weed in many tropical and subtropical countries. It is considered to be one of the hundred most invasive species in the world. It is a major threat to native organisms in the invaded habitats. This is the whole genome sequencing effort of Lantana camara carried out by the National Centre for Biological Sciences (TIFR), Bengaluru, India. We hope the sequencing data will help researchers study its invasive potential and ways to control it.
